Going on a tour of the National Cathedral in Washington DC. and the Cathedral San Francisco in Lima Peru. The one in Wash. is like finding a piece of the Middle ages but also amazingly futuristic. It is also is very modern in many ways, but also ancient in some ways. Check out the carving or sculpture above the front door. Check out Abraham Lincoln just inside the front door to the left. Plan to stick around and just be part of the place.
If you don't know what a flying buttress is, find out and then spot one on the outside of Cathedral. Check out each Chapel inside the church like the children's Chapel. It is a real interesting experience.
In Lima Peru, The Cathedral is old fashion but interesting, but the catacombs is the experience. In the Catacombs you find the answer to the Inca Mommies. Don't miss the finally door that goes underground to the police station, the Capital Building, and the Inquisition building. And envision the person going into the police station or the Inquisition building and never being seen again. And then think of all the Inca Noble in ceremony sitting on stone chairs and under the chair is buried a Mummy.
Ask yourself, just how different where these people, the Spanish and the Inca?
