First of all, make sure that you are not leaving to escape some inner problem. Just know that problems don't change geographically. Just make sure you are leaving for the right reasons.
Second, go to a place where you don't know anyone. If you are a social person, it will force you to step out of your comfort zone and meet new people. If you are shy, try first with people you work with.
And lastly, have a good attitude about your move. Of you are positive then you will have a great move!

Ah sarah, I've been feeling the need myself.
A fresh start sound so appealing to me. How could I live? I could be content in a trailer I think, I don't need a big fancy house.
Could I work in a coffee shop? McDonalds? How could I get by, making rent on minimum wage?
I'd love to just walk away right now, sell my crap furniture (or just leave it behind and let them deal with it) -- and spend my meager savings on a transition to some small town or even large town to get lost in.
In fact, you are certainly moving away from something ... not moving to something. I don't care where, I won't get a beach front property .. I'll end up in some desert with a paper cap on my head and glad. Glad to be away from this mess I've made of my life.

Where ever you go you can't run from your problems. If you just want change (go for it). It is difficult to go somewhere and not know anything about anybody and it work.
