Undoubtedly Sanskrit and it is spelt Ashirwada ... In Hindi, we usually say 'Aapka ashirwad...'. People are also often heard saying 'Mantrik and Tantrik....'. So, the word Manthram is supposed to have derived from the sanskrit word 'Mantrik'. Tamil language though independent and pure to a great extent, there are words which have been borrowed from other languages. In fact, no language in the world can claim to be totally independent as far as its evolution is concerned. And, no language is static - all languages keep evolving, especially those actively used in the contemporary world.
