Why would a ligit lotto winning company need your creditcard details? they are to give you your winnings, not take your credit earnings. Another thing, is that alot of people are getting these emails, and the thing is, they will send you a check, then they will ask for it back then give you a larger amount. like say they told you that you won $4,000.00, well they'll send you the check, then tell you if you want the larger amount won (like say $10,000) to send them the $4,000.00 back to them ( they bill your creditcard if you don't send back the cash). one woman played along with it, wanted to get the much needed money. after she cashed the check, she also noticed that her creditcard was also billed. so she thought it was the end of it...but it wasn't. The check she got for $7,000.00 was a counterfit check and she has been 'billed' for it, because the bank made a mistake and gave her cash for it. So in a nutshell, block or delete that email 'invite' it is fraud and a scam.

NEVER enter your credit card number in any e-mail form. NEVER enter your credit card number onto any web page, unless you are making an online purchase on a secure web site.

When making an online purchase, you must be the one to initiate the transaction, from a web address for the online store that you entered into your web browser, NOT by clicking a link on another page.

Please do not give your credit card details. This is a scam mostly involving Nigerians. Lots of people have lost their money.
I do get mails and simply junk them. Your credit card would be cloned and used for purchases. A similar scam had been going on about "black dollars". Lots of people lost their money and few of the Nigerians involved were arrested in Delhi.

They are SCAMS. Never give your credit card number and CVV. If you give, then your credit card will be utilised online and you have to pay for things you have NOT purchased. Be careful in this.

No, I would not! Why do they need your credit card number if you won? Good call asking before you did!

NO, doing so may be dangerous! I get these daily also. They're scams, and report them to whatever email client or website you have as spam!

don't you ever do that. it is a scam. they just want your credit card number so they can do something with it. don't believe something that is too good to be true.
