well, I didn't really have dry skin on my nose, but I did on my cheeks. What I did was use an exfoliator, clinique 3 step. However, it was really strong and I had a negative reaction, and got rashes everywhere. then, all the skin peeled off and now I have very smooth and fresh skin, very much moisturized. I wouldn't try it again though because of the negative reaction... I guess basically you should try a mild exfoliator and let it remove the dead skin cells, which will allow the living skin cells underneath to benefit from the moisturizer.

oddly I can answer a question in this catagory. I've tried almost everything on my face and clean and clear regular daily wash is the only thing that will keep my face clear without drying it. I've tried a lot of stuff, even arbonne and expensive stuff. It all dries my face up around my nose and my mouth. It'll start flaking off and the skin my face will feel really tight. It's horrible. Only the regular clean and clear works though. The morning bust stuff will dry your face too. the regular face wash also says on the back that its meant not to dry your face.

Oil of Olay is inexpensive, easily available anywhere, and really works. For a good facial lotion to work, it has to have the correct balance of oil and water, to properly soak into, and therefore, soothe, skin. Oil of Olay is surely the correct balance.
If too much of either water or oil, it is too unlike skin, and won't soak in.
If Oil of Olay doesn't work, you might need a dermotologist, because the itchiness might be something else, such as psoriasis or eczema.
Good luck, Christinamk227. I hope I have been helpful. - Duch

Hi . i use vitamin e cream, i have been using it for about 5 months now, and my skin texture is amazing, and i used to have some seriously bad acne marks and they are heaps faded,
I also use vitamin e cream on my legs they get really dry,
I would recomend you use vitamin e cream as it doesn't have as many additives as wat other moisturisers do, and u are actually applying a vitamin intoy our skin 2 keep it smooth n supple..
Also the vitamin e will last on your skin all day you don't need to reaaply it every 20 minutes,.
I have used the homebrand Vitamin e cream from woolworths, ( from australia) i don't know where you live but i gues walmart would have a homebrand one, its really cheap!!
you can also go to a chemist and buy and brand name Vitamin E cream but in my expreience they are basically the same

As mentioned above...drink A LOT of water.
What I use is Mary Kay's emolliant cream. It's really, really thick and it helps out a lot. Ask a MK consultant for a sample. The sample will last a while.

Firstly, you need to drink ALOT of water.. 2 to 3 Litres a day atleast.
Wash your face with 'cold' water every morning.
Wash your face with rose-water for a fresh look, it also help making your skin breathe more.
Don't use soap for your face for a week or so, and apply revitalizing oil to dry places on your face. -Avoid eyes
