# # Joey : No, Yeeees. God, how do I say this? Oh, hi, you know that girl from the Greek restaurant with the hair?
Chandler : Ooh, that girl that I hate, eww, drives me crazy, eww, eww, oh!
Joey : Look, I don't hate Janice, she's... she's just a lot to take, you know.
Chandler : Well, there you go. ##

I got this dialogue from Friend's, may I know what the above phrase means ?

some people are too overwhelming in large doses. Janice is very gushing with her feelings, and for many guys, too much of that at a time is "just a lot to take". IT's like when you have a friend that is annoying... so you don't want to see or talk to him/her everyday.

Oh by the way, I love friends and i have the whole dvd series as my collection.

If you've watched the episode in series 2, you would understand that Janice is too much to take especially with the kind Joey is.

Remember Janice's famous line, 'OH MY GOD!' and says that almost everytime, so tell me, even if you were Joey, would you be able to take it?

A lot to take in reference to Janice means that she's just too extreme, too exaggerated, too "over the top". She's very loud, has what some may deem an annoying laugh, is quite blunt in her comments.

Maybe it means that she's complicated. There's lots abt her that u wouldn't understand. That 'lots' is what he's taking abt which he can't handle (can't take). It could be in a positive or negative way.

It means she's over the top - big about everything - loud voice, loud laugh, boisterous, pushy
