work at a restaurant and I noticed women/girls give you the evil glare if you smile and are friendly when they come in with a guy or boyfriend. I don't understand this, I make it a point to address everyone at the table equally and be nothing but friendly and professional, and still I get the girls giving me attitude when everyone else at the table is nothing but friendly, and glares which look like they are thinking "I hate you!" Even out in public some women do that...Seriously...what is up with that!? It just hurts my feelings a bit because I'm nothing but friendly, but these women act like I'm the worst person ever with the evil stares they give me. and I take it really personally. Dang, if looks could kill! :)

It's all due to their insecurity. Women who are confident in themselves and in their relationship don't feel threatened by someone simply being friendly, but some women are so lacking in self esteem that they see every other woman as a threat.

Are you really pretty or sexy. That may be it. Other women may notice this and especially if they are with their man then thay don't want you to look too confident because men like confidence and women are afraid you will take their man. Basically thy know you look good. Either this or you need to wake up and smell the coffee, the world is not a nice place so they think you are hiding something under all those smiles.

I hate that stare too, it is a sign of being jealous and/or insecure. The best way to handle it is to keep smiling. Those b**ches think you are up to something and their attitude will get worse and men will see this. Meanwhile you like an Angel. Let these b**ches work for you.

Some women are very jealous and insecure about their men. Then again, I have been out to dinner where the waitress is a little bit too attentive to my man. It doesn't bother me. I just think they think the men are the tippers and they want a big tip. We just laugh it off but, some women won't so be careful to be pleasant but, business like.

You need to remember that woman live a fashion show life they each have to look better act better. Anything. This world is full of jealous people, never satified always wanting change. Woman are afraid of each other because they think they are out for their man.......

Some people are insecure to the point of seeing threats where there are none. They don't trust the guy they're with not to cheat, so every woman who speaks to him becomes an instant rival.

Sometimes you'll get it if we have to wait a while from being seated to having a server come by, or if you act cheesey, sit down at the table to take our order, screw up, act dumb, or be forgetful. I would say that we generally just don't wanna put up with bs when we're out. And we know when you're trying to kiss butt for a better tip--and it doesn't always work, but sometimes it really does.
