Fortunately I really lucked out with my daughter when she was growing up. I was a real menace as a child, and did any, and everything to give my parents gray hair. I have one brother, and he was just the opposite. He was smart, popular, and never gave my parents trouble. When I got married, and had my daughter(only child), I was convinced that I was going to reap what I sowed. I waited, and waited for her to give me grief but to my surprise, and gratefullness she never did. I breezed through junior high, and high school with her, and not a moments worry. Thank you Lord!. She is now thirty six, and has a three year old daughter, and a wonderful husband. Both she, and her husband are city police officers, built, and own their own home, and are living large. I thank God everyday for the gift he gave me. Not to many parents end up as lucky as I did. And by the way she never smoked, or drank.

Well i only have a two year old and another due in a few weeks but my little girl is doing what i did. she wont sit and eat when its time for dinner and she is fussy with food when i asked my mum for advice she laughed and said you did this to me and told me ways to cope and they worked. i Would hope my kids do somethings like me but not all i will always look back on the things i did so i cant judge them when they do it but i will also listen to them and make shore i don't make the same mistakes my parents did.Kids will be kids they have to learn some way just like we did.

Im 34(just turned).I was very polite, well mannered, respectful when I was growing up towards my elders.I never swore in front of my mum until I was 21.I knew right from wrong. My 12 year old is the same,my 13 year old is 'whatever' 'whatever'.She told my partner to f off because he is a fat ba*****.She is very sneaky and underhanded.I have told her until I am blue in the face, but she is nuts.

Nope, I feel extremely lucky. My son just graduated from college and never did anything except make me proud.
I always tried to be consistent and fair with him, and we get along fine. He knew I respected him, and he knew I expected the same from him.
He also knew I don't bluff. If I told him something, good or bad, it was going to happen.

They sure do sas me a lot but that's part of having kids I guess. As far as the rest of I don't know yet. I don't let my kids get away with what I did growing up.
