Yes I have. About 4 or 5 years ago a friend of mine and I went to a hip-hop night club (we are both white) and had almost got into a fight with a black woman there that basically in so many words had told me that this wasn't "our type" of club and that we didn't belong there.......

Yes, and I'm white. I was once refused entry to a bar in Tokyo, because the owner insisted 'Japanese only!' I was sneered at by two Chinese-Canadians in Vancouver the first time I went back to Canada--the reason I think was because my wife is Japanese.

But I can honestly say I have not experienced anything like many non-whites have. So, I can't complain about my experiences. I've been in Japan for 11 years and the bar incident was the only one here that I noticed at least. Mostly, Japanese people are really nice!

Every time a white man takes a civil service exam he experiences racism.

Every time a white applies for college acceptance blacks and mexicans have an unfair advantage.

Where have you been?

Its been that way since the Democrats instituted Affirmative Action over 30 years ago. Anyone who supports them or takes advantage of Affirmative Action is a racist and a bigot.

Yes, I have experienced racism. I'm a white guy, my landlords are East Indian. The other day went to go pay my rent, and the older grandmother who doesnt speak english answered the door. After realizing it was me, she started speaking Punjabi, and seemed to be calling for someone in the house that speaks english to come to the door. Well, what she didn't know, was that I have friends that speak Punjabi and they have taught me all the bad words. As she was asking for someone to come to the door, I heard her distinctly use the Punjabi word to call a white guy, the equivalent of a "n*gger". After she said it, to her shock, I repeated the word back to her and her face turned "white" and she ran into the house...! Anyways, she seems to be avoided me at every turn since then, from her obvious racist remark. That's my story, so I guess even whites experience racism!!

Besides being called names, I've experienced more subtle stuff like women clutching their purses more closely or one time I was standing a parking lot with my friend and this woman drove in with her windows down. To make a long story short, because we were out the so long talking, I don't what she thought, be she wouldn't get out of her car and I actually saw her get her cellphone and start dialing 911. I could see the numbers she was dialing from my vantage point.

Yes. I have lived in some Asian countries for a few years. While it's not rampant or an everyday occurence, it happens, despite what the people in said countries claim: "You can't come in", "The apartment isn't for rent", etc.

Sometimes it's just insults they say in their language and "think" you don't understand, and sometimes it's outright disrespect or physical assault, doing things to foreigners that they wouldn't dare do to one of their own countrymen.

The only Asian country I have spent any length of time in and never experienced any bigotry or unpleasantness was Thailand. The Thais judge you by your actions, not your skin (that's buddhism for you...), so as long as you behave like a civilized person, they'll treat you well. It's the uncivilized people they don't like, the drunks and those who go for the sex trade.

Yes. I went to a high school that was 85% black. I was a pale white country boy that listened to rock/alternative (this was the early 90's) and wore grunge.

Everytime I got a haircut, I was cornered in the bathroom by 4 or more dudes and asked if I was a skinhead. It wasn't even a crewcut!

Being white, I'm often surprised to be heckled at by some of the local Japanese teens in my area. They say crap like how they're superior to Americans in every way and how white men lust after their women. At first I often let it slide, but nowadays I have a different perception of them than other people :(

Too many times to count.I am mostly caucasion but with other ethnicities.I have been discriminated against by many different races.I just chalk it up to blame and stereo typing.I have been called.......wigga,wannabe,gringa,white trash(by my own people who look and act very trashy- go figure).Does anyone think it is worse to be discriminated against by your own kind. For those of you who are also multicultural,it must be very stressing to have someone come up and say"What are you?".

Yes.

I was on my way to Canada and me and my parents were kind of lost so we asked this woman (she was french, I think) for directions and I guess she didn't like us. American/Cuban.

So she gave us the exact opposite directions on how to get to where we were going and when we figured it out we were already an hour farther away from our destination.

I don't hate her though, I pity her for having such a closed mind.
