I hear FOX NEWS, and other stations, only broadcast stories that make the Republican party look good, Democrats bad, Iraq war good, etc

Where is a website that reports news "as it is"?

Your not going to find one. Every newscast/newspaper will have it's own biased, whether it's intentional or not. Some have an alternative agenda, depending on who owns the station/paper, or who advertizes with it.

Your best bet would be to look at the info from a variety of sources. That way, you will not be forced towards one specific bias.

Most of those sites described by the first noter are the same way, but slant the news for the sake of liberals. I get most of my news from Yahoo! News on the AP feed and the Wall Street Journal on occasion. My advice is that when you read the news, don't count on it being unbiased, just use your own mental powers to filter out the garbage.

*edit* By the way, I should mention that pretty much all televised news is garbage, and that includes everything from FOX News to the BBC.

Unbiased, objective news is a myth. Problem is, nevertheless, not the media's fault. It's the spokespeople and public relations who put a spin and slant on any piece of information released to the news media.

Try bbc.co.uk, guardian.co.uk, independent.co.uk.

You'll struggle to find unbiased news in the US!

(but of course even these sites have their own "slant" on world events, but with arguably less of a chip on their shoulders than Fox etc)

Read a number of varying sources and draw your own conclusions from them..
