First, I would wash it down, to remove the "nicotine film" that is adhering to it.

Then, you can try different things...

Coffee grounds is a trick that is used by truck drivers in big rigs to mask odors and it absorbs them all, so, get a few dishes of used coffee grounds and put them in the drawers and see if that works.

I would "not" use freebreeze as it only masks the odors and doesnt take them away..(Personal experience on this one, I bought a chair that had cat pee on it, and the wife sprayed it a bunch of times...while the freebreeze was wet, you didnt smell it, after it dried, it came back with a vengence!).

Baking soda is a good odor absorber, as is charcoal.. (I would try each, putting them in a small dish and putting them in the drawers to see which one works).

Putting something in the sunlight, may bleach your wood stain or color, so, I wouldnt expose any type of good furniture piece to sun for very long...but, airing it out in the fresh air wont hurt it.

I wish you well..

Jesse

Murphys Oil soap and then fabreeze. Murphys is safe to use on wood . Fabreeze will help on the odor. There are products on the market that contain and enzyme what will feed on
the cigar smoke but not to sure if they are safe on wood.

I agree with baking soda. It absorbs all kinds of odors. I was going to suggest Febreeze (but not on a wood cabinet).

You can also try dry coffee grounds or coffee beans. They will absorb the odor and coffee is one of those warm and yummy scents. If you like the smell of coffee that is ;)

Take a box of baking soda and stick it inside or sprinkle it over the surface. Leave it for about a week and your odors will be history. If you spinkle the baking soda just vacuum it out.

I guess Febreze is supposed to be good for that, but why would you want to remove the cigar smell? It's a very satisfying aroma.

Try lemon scented pledge.

It works good on wood and the lemon scent should get rid of that smell you dislike.

I love "Simple Green" It is a product put out by the epa. It smells wonderful, it's biodegradable, it's not expensive but most important, IT WORKS. Try it.
