I’m not depressed I’m happy, have love, and that’s all I need I don’t want money or to “be productive to society” I don’t care, I just want to be happy but am constantly made to think that my way of thinking is wrong maybe the question should be
Why do you care about doing and achieving?

Why is my thinking wrong?

Like you, I too have never been driven by some burning ambition to succeed. And like you, I have been the target of much criticism in that area. Society programs us all to believe that having a lot of money somehow makes us more worthwhile human beings. I don't subscribe to that theory.

You are lucky to have love in your life; I envy that. Love is SO much more important in the grand scheme of things. I have had a lot of friends who were ruined as people by having too much money, and as a result, became overly self-indulgent, and even self-destructive. I'm not saying that it's better to live a life of deprivation, just that too many people place too much emphasis on superficial values.

Continue to follow your heart, and live life as YOU see fit. If other people still feel the need to dictate their OWN values onto you, that's THEIR problem! Live and let live.

You are happy and that's what count. Never mind what other people think. I am exactly like you and believe me you can achieve much more when you are happy... The secret of this ? You don't need to compete for happiness for it comes from within, not from the outside.
You will do great things. I have no doubts about that. Your thinking is NOT wrong!
Just by being a happy person, you will shine through with LOVE and CARE for others because you are HUMBLE.
and those things are most important in life. You got what it takes!

Why should you care as long as all your cares are taken care of.
Just be happy until problems arise then be happy after you solve them.

Know that in this world love outranks fear and joy outranks depression ... but light needs dark to be light.

If the universe were all blinding light we could see nothing, there would be nothing, and if the universe was all totally dark we could see nothing, there would be nothing. They are two sides of the same thing. We exist in the middle.

Your thinking is not wrong ... and I like you for it, but know that we would not know the concept of love without the concept of the pain of being unloved.

The universe/life is joy even when sadness comes, and sorrow is a part of joy.
Others, who love you, want you to understand.

With love,
Jonnie

Actually, that is a very healthy attitude and state of mind. I think that truly contented people don't have ambition, because they don't want anything to spoil what they already have; love and emotional happiness. In the past, there were far more contented people, they concentrated on the important things in life. I suppose the only point that I would make, is that, if we were all contented, nothing would have been invented, and life would be a lot harder. So, to what extent are we contented, because other people have created things, because they weren't contented?
Also, it could make you immune to other peoples suffering.

It just may be that the way your life is right now is OK with you so there is no motivation on your part to do anything more to change or improve your circumstances nor do you really have to at this point in your life.
You may just be over worrying here for no good reason. Just go with the flow and take life as it is. If you need to do something or be motivated to change something, you will know when it comes about.
Relax and enjoy your life! Don't get hyper about anything that anyways says that you should do. They just might be jealous because they have all this stress in their life and they think you should to!

The fact that you acknowledge this issue of yours, already tells me there's nothing wrong with your thinking. I believe this is more social then psychological although they can both overshadow and complement each other in various ways. You don't give a danm aboout achieveing anything because you never tasted desperate you do not know what it's like to suffer and to be hungry, to be sad and not the type of sad that you see on ignorant soap operas but the type of sad that we feel when we lose something we love.Your human and your grounded in reality I acknowledge that because you acknowledge it yourself by asking "Why is my thinking wrong" observe and disect those around you most importantly start within yourself because you are the core. If you believe your thinking is wrong then those around you will think the same, remember your aura can influence thoughts and emotions. To answer your question of "Why do you care about doing and achieving" well I care because I want to feel the feeling of accomplishment because I give a danm about what I do in this lifetime, productivity and creativity plays vital parts within my life and I choose to embrace my inner potentials because a mortal has no limits...

You are not wrong! Money doesn't make people happy - it's just what they pursue while they are looking for love and happiness. I'm sure you are doing something that makes you happy - the best thing you can do for this world is share that happiness. Good luck to you.

Whoever says that you are wrong is false. You have found your own meaning in this world, something that the vast majority of the population will never do. I congratulate you for your insight, and I strongly approve of your definitions of 'doing' and achieving'! Climbing a 'social ladder', by its literal definition, means that your rungs are made of other people. You have found happiness on 'terra firma'. Have a blissful life!

You should think about how things that make you happy can also be productive. Wanting to just be happy is wonderful and good! But when you think about how you are not productive you are not happy... So figure something out to make a happy thing, a productive thing!

Greatest thing about life - you live it how you want to. You've got your priorities set, just keep them that way. Don't let anyone else tell you how to live. Hell, you could go and be a bum in New York City but as long as you're happy it's fine. That's your thing!

I care about living. That is what I want to do, I don't want to be one of those suburban drones who worry about every little thing.

Like I always say to my friends (When I'm complaining) "The people with the least worries always stress out about the most things."
