After all, under the tenets of Judaism, Jews are a chosen race. Furthermore, the Torah commands Jews to treat each other better than those of different races.

How is this different from what Adolf Hitler, David Duke, and Louis Farrakhan preach?

Read my lips - Judism is a religion - Not a race! Got it?
Jews come in all colors. The bible said chosen people - not race!

First of all, let's understand the word Chosen. What does it mean that the Jews are the Chosent People (read People, not race, there are Ethiopean Jews, Indian Jews, Middle Eastern Jews, etc.). It means that the Jews were chosen for a mission -- i.e., they were given a JOB to do. What is that job? Namely, to teach that there exists ONE (and ONLY one) loving, caring God who created the world, who watches over the world, who cares how we live and treat each other and who wants to have a relationship with His creation. The Jews are to fulfill this obligation by studying, teaching, and fulfilling the tenets of the Torah. Indeed, it is the Torah which states that ALL men are created in the Image of God, an idea which is the very antithesis of racism. The Torah also states the idea that man is judged according to his ACTIONS, another idea which is the antithesis of racism. The ultimate vision of Judaism is for ALL peoples of the world to learn about God and His love for manking (see the second chapter of Isaiah).

It should be obvious now how this is RADICALLY different from Hitler, David Duke, and Louis Farrakhan. I don't think it is fair to compare Farrakhan (or even David Duke, from the little that I know of him) to Adolf Hitler. Hitler was responsible for the deaths of TENS of MILLIONS of people. As far as I know, neither Farrakhan nor Duke have been responsible for the death of anyone, let alone the massive destruction that Hitler brought to this world.

For one thing, anyone can convert to Judaism and be considered part of the chosen race.

No! You don't have to be a specific race, creed, or color to become a Jew. However they are narrow minded because they only use what Moses wrote.

I can only assume this is a joke or a serious misrepresentation of what Jews believe.
