Love ain't no pain! Love's sweet'n all good. The pain comes from something else. The guy who said "pain comes from the absence of love" is right, but pain can be cause by love: when the loved one is not with you, when the love one doesn't love you (that would be the absence of pain, from the other side), when something bad happened to the loved one etc.
By he way, many things can equal pain: Creating = pain. Learning=pain. Hate=pain. Ya know, if I wanna be a smart a** and make people think that I am a philosopher, I can say something like "The absence of pain is the supreme pain."

My Grannie told me "Love is just a higher degree of tolerance." I have found that to be true. When you Love someone like your spouse or child you are more tolerant and forgiving to them than you would be a total stranger. Pain is involved in any relationship if given enough time. It is just a part of life. Without it though we wouldn't enjoy the good times near as much or appreciate the ones we love.
