First, let us talk about education in America. Your grammar is horrible. Second, as one respondent mentioned, the U.S. Dollar is not backed by gold any longer. Ft. Knox, Kentucky is now the home of the U.S. Army Heavy Calvary Division (tanks). Last, the Federal Reserve IS the people. Its not a question of "The people or Federal Reserve". The Executive Branch, Congressional Branch and Judicial Branch are all for the people, by the people.

And by the way, for all you who took this opportunity to trash President Reagan. Shame on you. I'm sure your class won the bible and you are perfect in every way. Reagan is one of the only former U.S. Presidents in modern times to be praised by the majority of both major political parties. he, like the other respondent said, was acquitted of wrongdoing by a democratically controlled congressional commission.

Your various questions seem to center around the 1800's as it pertains to the formation of our government. Consult the links below to better educate yourself on the Federal Reserve and the Gold and Silver standards this nation has been under. Also you need to educate yourself on Early American History, it is much more than the Revolutionary War and War 1812. As for scandals - research the Teapot Dome Scandal, Tammanity Hall Scandal in New York, read Upton Sinclair's novel "The Jungle", Watergate, Ton-kin Gulf Incident, Monica Lewis scandal. The history books are filled with stories if you dig deep enough. Also, read about the Train, Steel, Coal industries in the early 1900's and the stuff that the owners were allowed to get away with. History is there to learn from and a lot of times we do not.

As for Ronald Reagan he was one of the most beloved Presidents. I have lived through Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush.. Each president had his challenges and dealt with them the best they could.

As stated in several answers, please reformat and ask a question.

I have no idea what you are talking about..... we no longer have gold backing our money in the US. The government's word is all that backs it up and it must be OK because it is still the worlds benchmark currency. As for Ronald Reagan.... HE was the best president to hold office in my lifetime. He was an honorable man who surrounded himself with experts in their fields and was able to revive the country after it was trashed by the two and half decades of failed liberal policies. Anyone who disagrees with that obviously does not remember what life in the US was like in 1979. As for everyone who wants to recant Reagan's involvement in the Contra scandal. You should remember that Mr. Reagan was found to have not violated any laws by a Congressional investigation.... A president , as commander and chief of the military has every right to conduct military and espionage operations for the good of the nation when our countries interests are at stake.... and he may do so in a clandestine manner. Every US president has done this to some extent. Reagan was doing the right thing at the time. He was also responsible for the past 25 years of unprecedented US economic prosperity.... the bringing to an end of the Soviet empire and the collapse of the Berlin wall... as well as a revamping of the US military ... making us the richest most powerful nation on earth .... God bless you Mr. Reagan and thank you for your service to our great nation!

I too miss the Gipper. President Reagan was, without a doubt, the greatest President of the Twentieth Century.

Try again. Your question(s) lack focus.

You're more likely to get a thoughtful, concise answer if you post a thoughtful, concise question.
