why not do one of your own. why copy someone else? if need be, theres a guy called steve morse. he put out a cd called southern steel. if you can do anything off that, youll be doing better than most. remember, its not the notes that count , but the feel does. if you dont have the feel, the solo means nothing.

i'm unsure what sort of song you're into, yet i stumbled on that the perfect thank you to develop on solos became to test with what sounds good. i did no longer hardship to study very many scales and merely prepare some pulls and hammers on notes that sounded good mutually. yet another good technique is tremolo/decision figuring out on for holding some notes. to this point as solo shape is going, do no longer purely go loopy and seizure everywhere in the neck. ask your self is sweet yet sloppiness isn't. strengthen a solo is significant. merely initiate off sluggish then throw in some rapid stuff. the perfect thank you to end a solo is definitely with the two a unmarried extreme notice or a finger slide backpedal the neck.

I always thought James Iha from Smashing Pumpkins was an underrated soloist. Whenever I'm feeling nostalgic and pop in some Pumpkins, I'm always amazed at the sound he makes. It's like some sleek silver jet divebombing you. "Rocket" in particular is a pretty good facemelter.

Eruption by Van Halen. It's the introduction to Really Got Me.

This one will be a good challenge.

The guitar solo in the middle of "Bat Country" by Avenged Sevenfold.

That's a pretty good one, but very difficult.

Something by the The Beatles.

Following George's melodic lead guitar throughout is both challenging and rewarding.
