Spitting on someones face is considered a battery now because of bodily fluids. You could get 5-10 years. Depending on the circumstances (esp if it was an officer you spit on)

If 'they'' took you to court you are in a civil action. They obviously would want monetary damages. If the local prosecutor took you to court, you'd face misdemeanor charges of battery, and whatever enhancement the prosecutor wanted to add to convince you and your attorney to discuss a settlement (plea or sentence bargain.) An aside, what in the world are you doing spiting in someone's face. Do not allow anyone to control your behavior. Self-control is one of the primary hallmarks of successful people.
