ok i need to know how to make a really subtle makeup look with a VERY subtle smoky eye look did i mention IT HAS TO BE EXTRA SUBTLE and how to i get a natural evryday look. its for school that allows makeup but i dont want it reall dramatic i just want to enhance my eyes and give me a nice natural glow.

I would say use a medium to dark brown or gray shadow and black or grey eyeliner over the shadow on the top lid and line the bottom as well. Just put as much as you think is appropriate and smudge with finger. If you used too much dab a little lotion on a tissue and wipe excess off. Follow up with mascara and since you are wanting more dramatic eyes don't use a bright or dark lipcolor but a neutral or light one instead. Complete look with a bronzing powder for a nice glow on face and some blush and lip gloss.

It's a good idea to try soft eyeshadows in colors close to your skin color--try some of the eyeshadow quads from Maybelline, L'oreal, etc. They are not expensive but you get to play with a few colors. Soft browns, golds, and bronzes are good colors to start with--choose something close to your skin tone. Then toss that little sponge applicator that comes in the package and buy an eyeshadow brush with natural bristles. Walmart carries an inexpensive line of makeup brushes. You can also find very good ones at beauty supply stores. Using a brush lets you control the amount of makeup that is applied to your face. The sponge applicators don't give you that kind of control. Start light, and gradually increase the color until you get a look you like. With the eyeshadow quads, you could apply the darkest shade along your lash line and then a lighter shade on your lid. You can even apply the dark shade as a liner under your eyes. (there's even a brush for that!) Then blend, blend, blend! Play with it until you get the look you want. By the way, using a soft blusher or bronzer on your cheeks and then using a SMALL amount on your eyeshadow brush and applying to your brow bone will brighten your eyes without looking "made up." A little mascara will help define your eyes, and you might want a little light gloss for your lips. Have fun!

i have black eyes so i can get away with black eyeliner without looking dramatic.
regardless of the color, line about 3/4 the bottom of your eye with it, along with about the same length along the top.
let the eyeliner lines touch at the sides of your eyes, and use some dark gray eyeshadow over the top line.
thats what i do when i need a subtle look but want it to be more defined than my daily dose of mascara. hope that made sense.

if you want a subtle smokey look, use either grey or black pencil eyeliner, and draw just a thin line very close to the base of your lashes on your top or bottom lid, or both if you want a more dramatic look. then, use dark brown eyeshadow on your lid, and some mascara if you want to. i wear that everyday, however i just use eyeliner on my top lid, i think the wearing it on top and bottom is more of a night time/going out look. this will give you a subtle but enhanced look. hope this advice helped!

i don't have any great tips on the eyeshadow other than use a subtle shade and keep it close to your eyelash line or very small wedges on the outside of your lid... but one thing i have found that works very well and is very subtle is, if you want to do a little eyeliner but not have a big black line, instead of doing it on top of your lash line, look up and do it on the bottom of your lash line, u will also then get a very delicate smudge of eyeliner on your lower lash line. looks hot!

the trick with eyeshadow is to blend with a blending brush.... you can never blend too much. for the sheer look. try select tint spf 15 from MAC. Absolutely beautiful!!!!!!
