The painting was made up of many little dots of which the artist suppposively painted between heartbeats with a single hair paint brush?

The two answers so far are good answers, but the painting i was looking for had the perspective from the river looking back at the bank.....

I think I remember the one your talking about.....she has on a white dress and you cannot see her face because the umbrella covers it. she is walking away from the perspective being downrive. i do not know the name, it looked like a impressionist if it is the same one I am thinking of.I don;t know who painted it but perhaps this description will help someone figure out the right answer

i don't care rather. it would honestly be relaxing just to have a handful of countless artist just to work out how each and each sees me. a photo could tell a a hundred words...yet 10 countless photographs create an entire spectrum of theory. : )

If so, it's Berthe Morisot and it's impressionism. not pointillism.
The painting is called "The Harbour at Lorient". They say Monet loved it so much: he bought it.
