I think it is about being afraid of getting old and feeling like your life is not what you want. Two people who used to be in love now realized that their lives have taken changed them too much. Brothers on a hotel bed is how the couple feels now. The type of feelings of knowing each other really well and loves each other but not in the way a couple should.

Its about a married couple that are past the years of passion. the love has essentially fizzled from the relationship. when two brothers are sharing a hotel bed, there's nothing more awkward, even though that person you're sharing the bed with knows you the best.
