I have several guitars but I am partial to my 3 vintage Gibsons. I think you should learn Louie Louie by the kingsmen aka The Kinks. It is actually a very cool reggeae song and once you play it acoustically you will fully appreciate the song for it's originality and not for the generic spin that has been placed on it over the years, since the movie Animal House, which is actually a very cool classic.

If you have an electric guitar learn blues scales, and learn how to bend the strings and create vibrato, and play with lots of feel.
Ever notice how BB King plays? I think he only plays three different frets on the fret board, and just bends the strings and has incredible vibrato. It's all feel.
