Love is blind; you cannot control love. If love was controllable, then probably around half of the couples in the world today would not be together. What drives almost each and every one of us to approach another, whether to propose or ask out for a cup of coffee? Love. What causes us to feel sympathy or empathy towards another? Love. It's true that money makes the world go 'round, but love is the motor...or the axis. If someone knows that you're already taken and they still persist, then that is true love; one who is in love will chase the one they love (in a non-stalker/non-obsessor kind of way) to the ends of the Earth. Let others be in love with you, for if the one you are currently with plays you for a fool or lets you go, you always have others to turn to (of course, don't have men/women crawling all over you like disposable paper bags, using them once, throwing them away and moving on to the next; that's bad.)

No No, the way you should ask yourself this; is, what happens when YOU fall in love with someone else and *you're* taken. By wording it the way you did, it seems like, if they are in love with you, then who cares? It's not your fault, you didn't *do* anything, right? You aren't the one with the problem, THEY are. But, if your feelings are the same, then this is a problem. So rephrase it.

I'm not sure how to answer this one. Good question! I'll try though. If it were me that they loved and I were already taken, I think I would probably figure out who I'd be happier with. If the person who is sought after is in an abusive, untrustworthy relationship, the one who fell in love with them could very well be their knight in shining armor. I guess it would depend on the relationship already established.

Be kind, be appreciative, and be clear that your heart is elsewhere. If this person cannot maintain a friendship without causing you grief or your mate grief there is no reason not to be friends with them as long as they honor your boundaries.

Q~T,just don't let them go too long without telling them you appreciate the compliment, but there's no way you could allow anything to happen to upset your current status, in your own words.

Don't let them have to guess. Have other people there for the encounter for support, but know how to stay the hell out of it. (They know how to shut up).

IMO
