oh! do u noe that in asia, people smoke and drink more than the europeans and have a higer rate or of cancer , obesity..... yet we have a longer life-span. this is because we drink lots of green tea. and more serious on the food that we eat. for example. in singapore ppl can ask the cook to add less oil or salt to the food that we eat and more vegetables. so even though the food is kind of tasteless (to some of you) but its definitely more healty than fast food!.

I agree. Because they are everywhere. They have been infused into everything we do through TV, radio, billboards, and the fact that there's a resturant every block. It has been that way for the last 50 + years, and now the results are starting to show.
I think it is getting better. As people take in the disgusting results of test after test on fast food, they become focused on the long term effects, rather than the short term satisfaction. Getting the word out there about what's bad for people to be consuming is crucial to putting an end to the high-fat, high-calorie junk that exists today.
I also think that lowering the cost of produce would help greatly. To eat veggies at every meal, well that's a lot to buy. Hopefully, someone will recognize this need.

disagree. Fast food is our culture. Well, not really, but look at Americans. We are overweight, the majority is anyway. We eat the least healthy. So on, blah blah. Fast food is a big part of our country. I don't like it, but it's true.

Men and women of all ages move from home to school, to office,to work place,to holiday,to hospitals,to social service, to prayer meetings, and to business meetings. Fast food chains are offering quick affordable variety of food almost everywhere. Culture is not slow mediocre monotonous costly food after a long drive.

Disagree. Fast food restaurants are a representation of our culture. They are spreading throughout the world because people like them except, of course, for snobs.

Disagree.
If the intrusion to culture you referred to the type of food served, I'd rather call it introduction of culture.
If you refer to the service provided, isn't that a good idea to serve customers quickly instead of let them lolling & waiting.
So, think globally - act locally, why don't you start serving local food with fast food service?

In some places fast food is a cultural hub. In the US fast food is one thing almost everyone has in common.

First off, of which culture do you speak?
Secondly, I'm assuming you are talking about American culture. So, no, fast food restaurants are the foundation of American culture.

agree. then again everyone is on the run & fast paced lives require fast paced foods. long term effects aren't considered when you have 5 minutes free time before you have to be somewhere and you are starving
