I think it is about time this country screwed it's head on right and elected a female president. She would do way better then the idiotic male we have in power now. What do you think?

I think that if a female were to run for presidency right now she would be elected out of sheer novelty. Much like that sun of a Bush we have now. Whoever is elected president next will have a big mess to clean up. Rather than raise taxes that idiot has spent money that doesn't even exist yet and although he didn't raise the taxes he spent the money that will cause the taxes to be raised in the future. I guess it will all be blamed on the next guy or girl. If it is a female president though she will likely be blamed for making everyone clean up the mess. Where as Bush will be credited for throwing such a party and no one will think that he used the future presidents credit card to buy the beer.

P.S. It is exactly that type of sexist thinking that I read in some of the other responses that oppressed women for so many years.
You can't engendise any particular type of thinking and when you do so you have already become the thing you hate.

Good point Amy C. I agree! Kinda tired of male mentality. It would be a breath of fresh area to get a different perspective for our leadership. Would a woman initiate a war if she knew her beloved child had to go fight in it? Could she nurture her people? Could she give birth to a consciouness within the nation to promote the values of female kind? As per screwing its head on straight. Well...I think that there has been very little original thought or action in a long time. Give the women a chance. I think we'd be pleasantly surprised.
I think it would be cool to here Mr. President describe a woman.
Why not Ms. President or Miss President or even Mrs. President.
If Hillary wins I'm almost certain that her insight into the office from the other side having been witness to the dos and donts
would bring the term "Presidency" to a whole new level. Kind of a "two for the price of one" type deal. Bill would ,no doubt, have difficulty keeping his mouth shut. It would be great comedy to watch that play out. He'd be the First Lady or the First Man. I'd like to see him prepare tea and scones for a delegation of Arabs.
Poetic justice I say!
Public opinion is in the dark ages. A woman president could really affect some much needed change in world affairs.

A female President and the individual in the office right now are mutually exclusive topics.
I would not vote for a female if her sole agenda was to become the first female President.
I would vote for the best person, regardless of gender or ethnicity, if they were not a single agenda candidate, IE: female, the environment, taxes. All important, but none can be considered as a sole issue.

I would NEVER run for president because a woman just doesn't understand things like war and politics. Besides, I couldn't have Cyrus (my BF) holding my hand all the way to the debate podium, now could I? It would kill me to have to do all those things without a man by my side. I mean, I didn't even like being in this Yahoo Answer thing alone, so the next day I had Cy enter into it so my voice could be strengthened by his smooth baritone. How a woman finds the confidence to run for mayor, let alone president, I haven't the slightest clue!

frankly speaking, if women ran the world i don't think we would have people flying airplanes into buildings. we might have a different set of problems but we would not be in such a perilous and dangerous situation that we are now in. george the bush has been like gasoline on a fire. a woman president may very well be exactly what this country needs. i'm for it.

Of course, we are way behind the rest of the world. Maybe Bush did us all a favor and after seeing the mess he made, the idiots that wouldn't elect a woman before will now.

Who should we have as candidates? Yeah, Hillary but there are more women out there like Nancy Pelosi and Diane Feinstein, etc., etc. We need to demand this as women in America, until it happens we will always be under represented. Move over boys, you've messed up long enough. Let a woman through to do the job right!

George W. Bush is the best president the good ole US of A has had in a long time. Condi Rice and Hillary Clinton, NEVER. The dear USA would really go down the tubes. Worse then it ever has.

Not Hillary C or Nancy P- but I am def up for a woman president.
The largest problem is in negotiating with smaller men dominated countries. She would have to have a good staff iwth men on it since they will NOT TALK to a woman whether she was president or not..... I mean they would talk to her but not trust or negotiate with her.
But for me... whatever-- the last good president was Reagan. He was great but the rest have been less than spectacular in my humble opinion.

Let's hope she would not be as sexist as you.

Also, I wouldn't be so fast to call anyone idiotic. Your question looks like something a 12 year old would write. If you are going to convince anyone, you'll need to articulate your reasoning. The "because men are stupid" approach makes you seem dim yourself.
