Shakugan no Shana is an anime. I would like to know if it's under horror. and it's it okay for a 11 year old kid can watch?

shakugan no shana is fantasy/horror. I've only seen the first 16 or so episodes, and there isn't anything to horrible, though it is rather violent at times and deals rather heavily with the concept of death and humanity. i wouldn't recommend it for an 11 year old because you can't really enjoy it if you don't fully understand the concepts it presents, and that may be difficult for an average 11 year old.
