No part of being real is the ability to affect reality. Even most people that believe in ghosts don't think they can interact with our world.

Actually there may be, one cannot say , there is still no hard evidence to prove their existence. There are however researches are going on by various paranormal research teams to uncover the truth of an afterlife or netherworld.
But there are instances in life where u cannot ignore like the Colosseum being haunted by dead gladiators. THE ACTUAL SENSE OF GHOST IS TO GIVE A FACT THAT DEATH IS NOT THE END, THERE IS AN AFTERLIFE. Mythologies of various religions also depict of ghosts and horror, spirits as guides and haunting phantoms. IN TRUE SENSE NO ONE CAN REALLY PROVE THEM.

If u believe that god is there in real life, then believe ghost is also there. See both god and ghost theories are man made. I'm not an atheist. But I believe that is some super- natural power controlling us. If that power is to promote good then the opposite to that i.e evil is ghost. That's all.

Once upon a time, there was NO WAY anyone could ever convince me of their existence. Then - something happened to prove me wrong. Since then, there has been NO DOUBT in my mind whatsoever that they are REAL. This only happened to me ONCE - many years ago - but that's all it takes to MAKE a believer out of anyone!

But I agree with "Gypsy" - unless or until you have a personal experience yourself with a being who has passed on to the other side, it's only natural to remain a skeptic. After all, it DOES seem far-fetched, doesn't it?

supposedly. I believe. Though I always say out loud "I don't want to see any ghosts" before I go to bed. So far it's worked.

Am I joking? Ha HA!! Seriously, I'm not joking. If I saw a ghost I'd go mental. Good Luck seein' your ghost!!

depends on how you define ghosts, but then yes, if there is good in the world there will be evil too and similarly for ghosts. Also by this statement i am not implying in any way that ghosts are evil.

Its only upto us. What we think. What are our experiences. I can tell you my personal experience only. Yes. But they are one of us. They are no different from us. Only difference is that they have not got any body or shape. They are souls or spirits whatever you can say. But they are very much within us. Secondly, The most important thing is that they are afraid of us. Yes this is true. Then why we are afraid of them. They are everywhere. Might be sitting with you on your sofa while watching TV or might be sharing your bed. But don't worry they are not going to harm you unless you harm them. So try to be friend of them. Bye

I think there probably are, there's no way to know if there is or not for sure unless you see one (which i've get to experience).

With so many saying they have seen them though, ghosts probably do exist.

This is a world of believers and in most of the cases the belief is built up more by experience. Those who have experienced believe it, and those who have not experienced will not believe. The belief of either of us is not in any way going to influence our existence.
