I am painting the roof on a lean-to that is 12' X 12'. I would like to paint as large a painting of the American flag as will fit. I guess the field of blue will just be in the upper left hand corner and the bottom of the field of blue will be even with the bottom of the (red) seventh stripe from the top. Of course each stripe will be one thirteenth of the width of the flag. I need to know what is the width of the flag and what will be the length of the field of blue? When I get those answers, then I'll have to figure out what size to make the stars.

Hi! That's a good question, and it's GREAT to see someone who wants to make sure they portray America's symbol of freedom accurately and to the inch =)
