Barbs can be aggressive if there aren't enough of them to occupy each other. If you have a group of six you would be okay with adding another type of fish, but with only four you may see some aggression. Change the tank around completely when you add new fish to help avoid problems. Danios get along well with anything that won't try to eat them.

Hey,

The rule for fish is inch per Gallon so you can fit 10 1inch fish in your 10 gallon. You can try zebras with the tiger barbs but the barbs can be mildly agressive but they are both community fish. Mix them together and keep a close eye.

Good luck,

My striped Angelfish and Tiger Barbs tolerate each other but I'm sure there are more compatible species. A larger school of mixed Barbs would probably be a better choice.

you could put in one more tiger barb... go with 2 gallons per fish!

but should you get a bigger tank... zebras may be alright because they are one of the fastest tropical community fish, I think the tiger barbs wouldn't be able to nip them if they even wanted to... but i'd still be careful, tiger barbs are crappy fish imo... to small to go with cichlids... to mean to go with most tropical community fish.

No Zebra danios are very passive and Tiger barbs are nippy. I don't suggest it.
