No. Simple as that. Nothing is near everything. You must have a car in L.A. If you really don't want to drive a car. I don't know what to say. Taxis are expensive. The train system is not thorough like it is in other big cities. There are shuttles from some hotels to the various attractions. I guess that is what I would look for. An affordable hotel with shuttle service. When you say L.A., I wonder...do you mean Orange County, too? You know, Disneyland, beaches. When in Southern California, it's nicest to stay closest to the beach as possible.

The Roosevelt in Hollywood is nice. Its right by the red line (Metro) ... but LA is tough. You'll end up having to use a car at some point - especially if you want to get to the beach.

Nope. To see LA, you need to drive (or hire a driver).
