Anyone no how 2 use a ouija board?

I'm going to a sleepover with some of my friends and i think that it would be cool to try and see if we could "contact" a spirit. but i dont know how to use a ouija board.......help

Just don't do it. You're asking for major problems... and messing with the dark and satan isn't a good idea. Take it from someone too experienced, don't learn the hard way.

I am an Occultist and agree with chris j. Using an ouija board is dangerous. The ritual for forms of divination such as these are not safe. You could allow a spirit to come through a board. Furthermore, many new ouija board users burn their boards assuming this act ends the ritual. This does not close a ritual. It in fact destroys the item holding them bound. If you destroy the board you set them free. Another misrepresentation is that only the dead may speak through the board. Demons and fallen can speak as well. You are asking for a wide variety of trouble using an ouija board.

First wipe off the board with a cloth....all must be quiet ..no talking.etc..think and concentrate on who you wish to communicate with...brush off the placette (heart) with a cloth a just sit still and quiet. Begin to ask simple questions like.."are you there" . Too many questions confuse the spirits you are trying to contact. Be very careful! Ouija is not a game and when communicating with the spirit world, although you may be looking for a good spirit it is also a perfect way to invite ones that you prefer not to associate with.

LOL I just read an answer you received about Satan..you are not communicating with Satan so no worries! just be careful..this is not a game..and when you are communicating..you can always tell when someone is pushing the pallete...Ouija once told me that I would marry a musician and have many children..lol...the plancette was being pushed by another "player"..

Talking boards can be useful tools when used in the proper context. I do not advise "playing" with this type of divination.

MOST spirits will trick you, earn your trust, and convince you of one thing or another. Through Divination, portals CANNOT be opened. You must actually TRY to invoke the spirit into the room. And please don't think that's a game...*sigh*

Its nice to see that Pagans are trying to help, most of them wish to maintain the aura of power about them, that's fine. Ouija will not stain or steal your soul, nor will some dimension of hell with Demons come pouring into your friends house.

Since you are inexperienced, please RESPECT the board as it can be a useful tool. However, unless you purposfully call an evil spirit to talk to, they cannot trick you into something potentially dangerous. Most of the time the spirits that feel compelled to answer such a "indirect" calling will be the punk bullies you went to school with. They'll talk a lot of talk and then run the moment you stick up for yourself.

Have fun, ask silly "who will i marry someday" questions, eat popcorn and get spooked with scary stories. But please thank all spirits you talk to (just in case) and don't take most of what they're saying seriously.

Step 1. Throw Ouija board away. ( They are stupid wastes of time made by the manufacturers of Monopoly. Don't pass GO, Don't collect the souls of the dead)

Step 2. Light candles and meditate. ( on why you want to contact spirits in the first place.... they have something to do here in this place, and it is NOT to entertain you!)

I must caution you against this.

the oujia or Witchboard is a powerful tool of divination. they are very real and not a game to be played because you think that it could be cool.

the spirits that will usually come through one of them are seldom trustworthy and will tell you any lie that they can to gain your trust. you may accidently open a gate in your friends house.

they are very good as sensing your emotions and playing on them. the danger of these boards and the spirits within them is extreme.

if you really wish to know how to use one. find yourself a Pagan teacher and learn the Pagan ways. (this includes the religious beliefs) once you have learned divination through a number of "safe" practices you may wish to move on to the witchboard.

however most that learn divination through other means seldom find need to use the oujia..

board makes it seem to be. There are indeed lost souls, that
we can contact through telepathic ability. And they can create
an "obsession", where they will follow one around and harass

Don't do it!! You don't know what will come when you call. It's not "cool" to contact a spirit. You need a pro.
And the spirit you contact may be evil. And you won't know how to get rid of it.

Even the famous psychic Sylvia Browne, who has communicated with many ghosts and spirits, warns not to use it. She says it's too associated with negativity. I had an experience with one when I was a teen, and it scared me pretty bad. They are not toys.
