I'm 4 months pregnant.
Everytime I sneeze, or cough it makes my stomach cramp. Where the baby is. I'm scared that I might have a late miscarriage and I don't want that to happy, plus I cramp down there when I sleep in a weird position or sit on a sit awkward. But I changed my sleeping position and the way I sit,
But is the coughing and sneezing cramping, should it be a worry? Or is it normal in pregnancys? Also the cramping is very strong, it's just light cramping, but only lasts a few seconds after I sneeze or cough!

Are you sure that they are cramps?
From early on in my pregnancy with our daughter I had round ligament pains. Most everytime I sneezed, coughed, laughed too hard, etc. my belly would hurt. The uterus is held by these ligaments... as the baby gets bigger and the uterus gets heavier, these ligaments get stretched. Eventually, they will start to be stressed and will sometimes hurt. This might be what you're experiencing.
If you are having pains that are concerning you, your best bet is to call your OB and let him know what's going on.
Good luck and I hope you feel better.

I don't think I would call it normal but it could be nothing. Many women have ligament pain because their ligaments are stretching as their belly grow. Most women would notice this if they are standing or walking for a long time, but some notice it in a seated position. Coughing or sneezing could stretch those same ligaments and cause the same pain. If the problem really is ligament pain don't worry. It is very common. Actual uterine cramping would not be good at this point especially if it is accompanied by bleeding. Tell your doctor so they can determine the cause of the pain. Because you said it only happens after sneezing or coughing I bet it is just ligament pain.

Every pregnancy in every women is different, I personally never had a problem like that when I sneezed or coughed. I had 3 other children and I am pregnant now and never have I experienced that.
What you should do is talk to your doctor about that and see what he/she tells you. It might not be a miscarriage, it could be something minor. Please don't worry because you do not want to stress yourself out and the baby.. (Good Luck)!!!!

Totally normal! I had the worst cramps! My first pregnancy not so much but my second one I felt like my stomach was a constant cramp. I think it's normal and Nik ^^^ is right my DR said the same thing. It's just everything all your organs were one way Normal and now they have spread everywhere to accomdate the growing baby. It will get a little worse before it gets better but then you have a beautiful new baby!

I have always heard that light to moderate cramping is round-ligament pain, but if you are concerned or if it is very painful (like makes you double-over in pain) I would definately call your OB. If you bleed at all with any cramping, go in right away.
You should feel comfortable calling your OB at any time. They are there to protect your health and the health of your baby. Good luck!!!

I'd not worry too much, of course talk to your doctor about it. If you aren't seeing blood, it's probably not a big deal.
I felt terrible pain, especially when I laid down at night and it ended up being ligaments stretching. Your tummy has never had to expand before and your body is making allowances for it.

i have heard of ladies who had valuable pregnancies with low hcg stages. even if, it does sound like you had a miscarriage, with the soreness and the clots. even if the actual undeniable reality that your hcg stages are going up is a secret. that's not too early to do an ultrasound and in case your doctor informed you that, you opt to come across a clean one. the in worry-free words way they're going to locate out what's quite happening is to furnish you an ultrasound. maximum proper desires.

When that was happening to me, the doctor told me that it was just that all your organs are all smushed, and they can kind of kink and hurt a little. I had a normal healthy pregnancy, so I hope it will be ok for you too.
