Superman took the bullets so they wouldn't hit some innocent bystander. He ducks the gun because (1) he doesn't want to get hit by a gun if he doesn't have to and (2) a flying gun without bullets in it is hardly a threat to bystanders. Superman is sweet.

well...
when someone throws a beachball at your chest... you let it hit you... when the same beach ball heads to your face. You duck, it's just a reflex.
Plus, bullets are round... guns have sharp edges that can leave a mark!
Or is that the REAL Superman doesn't duck... you're just thinking of an actor on TV.

Superman could take bullets in the chest , nut he had to duck becuse no one like to get hit by a flying gun. It hurts!!!!!

Superman was able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, was more powerful than a locomotive and fly faster than a speeding bullet.
Nobody ever said anything about his mental skills !...
He probably forgot he was Superman.

Well, bullets bounce off of him. The gun would leave a mark, and I really don't think he wants that to happen.
Or, maybe he is afraid of guns, but not bullets?????
