yes, guys tend to fool around a bit and you should be able to take things less seriously and think about it logically.
A: you can simply wash your clothes and everything will be fine
B: all he wanted was your attention because he loves you
C: next times,laugh with him, if he laughed it was most likely with you not at you
Now that you have slapped him he will keep his distance and resent you for a small peiod of time

It seems rather disrespectful for your boyfriend to do this, and sounds a bit like a dominance game.
You diminished yourself a little when you slapped him
You may not have been out of line in the cirucumstances you describe..
Practice self respect, and insist that others treat you with the respect you are due.
It sounds like it was just a childish stunt on his part, albeit technically battery of a higher degree than you responded with. If I were to attempt to rationalize with moral relativism, he was more wrong than you.
Define some boundaries or look for a new boyfriend.

NO, you should have yanked or pushed HIM in too, see how HE likes it... You didn't go far enough. Dump the loser. As for me, I'd give you a chance to take your clothes off before going into the pool like any gentleman would.
