Maybe that's what Yahweh and Allah were and they already comquered the Earth thousands of years ago. If so, they would probably protect us from any other hostile aliens who came along which is about the only advantage I can see to our supreme authority figures being these deified psychopaths....
A Defence Dept researcher came out with a serious book on this subject just about a year ago. The book is:
"An Introduction to Planetary Defense: A Study of Modern Warfare Applied to Extra-terrestrial Invasion"
by Travis S. Taylor
This guy Taylor says he wrote the book just for fun, but I looked at his resume on the Amazon page and he has so many degrees, I don't think he's ever done anything for fun in his entire life. Some people are convinced the book is an attempt to clue us in about something the elite knows about but would rather not disclose. I doubt it, but the book looks interesting so I'm going to get it.....

Aliens will not invade Earth, all hey have to do is wait. Over the centuries, your planet was a curious place to visit once or twice and was not considered very interesting . Sure, your wars showed us how undeveloped you are as a species and your infantile,(in cosmic terms) dependence on god concepts does not bode well for you. We are now showing an interest in you because it is not often that we get to observe a species commit suicide. You are so close to maturing as a sentient species and it will be a shame to see you kill yourselves. There are just not enough of you becoming rational enough to force the issue. You let the least among you determine your fate, so be it.

Well...if current policy (of both Democrats and Republicans) holds true, we would:
1. Make the taxpayers foot their medical bills,
2. Educate their kids,
3. Be required to give 'em driving tests in THEIR language,
4. Let 'em vote illegally, because requiring official ID is "discrimination", and
5. Pretend they're not illegal and make 'em citizens.

Depends. Are they going to eat humans (or destroy the world in some fashion) or are they simply going to tell us how to live (which would be no different than the leaders of today)?
In either case there really isn't much we puny humans can do without destroying ourselves in the process.

Forget about racism, classism, and nationalism long enough to try to defeat them. Then, if we are successful, sneak around and try to make alliances with them to overthrow other governments and start the racism, classism and nationalism all over again.

it depends on what they're planning. if they came to kill us we run for your pitiful life. if they came here to assiositate with use, we will get along. saying that george bush isn't the president anymore.
