Does anybody agree that mainstream hip-hop music like the stuff on MTV is going to die soon and get replaced by a whole new diffrent genre of music such as rock and emo and punk? judging by the 2006 MTV music awards it seems like a bunch of "bands" actually won this year instead of a bunch of hip-hop artists and R & B pop artists... Everyone knows everything dies...So who else thinks that the mainstream hip-hop ( on MTV) is coming to an end? How much longer do you think it'll be around? And why? P.S. I have always hated this trend. Why sould people care about all these supposed "artists"? they don't play instruments... And why should people still be supporting them? They already brainwashed enough of my generation of youth into giving them all their money for their cheap thrills and 5 minutes of fame...

I hope so. The love of money has squeezed what little originality and life there used to be in Hip Hop. 98 % of the acts (not artists) are poseurs. They're cookie cutters. You could replace one act with another at the last second and nobody could possibly tell the difference. They're just churning out CD after CD of the same ol' crapola with a looped beat and a two note, two finger riff on a keyboard. Their videos are one after another of these poseurs showing off their bling and their houses and the mindless groupies that surround them.
It's up to the Outkasts and BEP's of the world to take the genre to a new level, to find something original.

And no hip hop is not leaving wether you like it or not. you guys are idiots. you like rock? whats the difference? rock bands scream at the top of thier lungs wear make up like gay asses wear girls jeans make lyrics about the dumbest stuff. rock sucks hard dick. yeah I love linkin park when they are screaming the lyrics are nice. and the vmas suck all together. You guys say rap isnt music well anyone can scream. gl and i hope you all burn in hell.
