No, dont allow anything to make you hate. Hate is self destroying. Confront your fears - find someone you can talk to. Dont try to do this on your own. Pain - well, I believe that pain is part of living. There are all sorts of pain. I have eventually come to understand this, and I try to accept, make the best of it and then simply get on with it. Sounds easy - No, definitely not. But believe me it can be done. When you confront these issues, all sorts of new avenues will open to you. Best wishes to you.

That's not a bad analogy. I have that at work because my boss doesn't have very good communication skills or people skills. I'm always catching hell for stuff I had nothing to do with because I think it's counterproductive to argue. So perhaps I don't stand up for myself as I should. Well, I don't want to get fired for being a smart aleck or arguing. So I have a lot of stress, even before I go to work because I know I'm walking into a hell hole from the outset. I am afraid of going back into that situation. It causes me pain to keep getting chewed out for stuff. Because I haven't really stood up for myself I catch it all the time. It's a bad circle. As a result of this I hate my boss with a purple pissing passion!

thats a great way to put it.....especially in relationships when you fear someone and they have given you enough pain to work on...i guess, you will surely end up hating the person.

Yup. Hit the nail right on the head. Sometimes it's just fear.

fear and hate can cause pain... you have two very negative powerful emotions that can be physically painful.

I would change the formula to:
fear & hate = pain
