It's because of the banana conspiracy.
You think I'm kidding, but I'm not. I read all about it in PopSci. They're trying new varieties of bananas on the general public to find a suitable replacement for the traditional variety, which is becoming extinct.
I bought some ladyfinger bananas this past spring and had to slice them open with a knife, they were so tough.

The rest of the primate family peel a banana from the bottom where you hold the banana. It's been working for them for years. The human race is the only primate who doesn't do it that way.

If you are honestly talking about the fruit, peel it backwards from the bottom. I work in childcare and in a workshop they told us to peel the banana from the bottom where the tip is soft. It works!

you can not peel banana because you had too much to drink,, JAMAICAN RUM MAN! i could peel a banana, with my toes.. of course i forgot to mention I'm half MONKEY and half HUMAN.. with all the hair on my body..i even played with monkey when i was a boy in the JUNGLES..

Nope. I just start from the stem and break it off and peel down one side at a time.

Not I, because I don't eat them. However, sometimes with either overripe bananas or artificially ripened bananas, there is sometimes difficulty.

yes i always bruis the top so not i open them from the bottom
