honestly I don't know. Since it is human nature to survive I could not answer this question until I was faced with this situation....I would like to say yes....

I voluntarily served 4 years in the military, So there is no doubt I was willing to sacrifice my life for everyone here.

I could say yes but I'll actually have to be in a life and death situation to know if I would or would not. No one will know for sure unless they are faced with it in real life. The heart may say yes now but the mind may say no way in reality.

Yes. Have come very close to losing my life to protect others. But it is important to try to stay alive to continue to do good things, so do your best, and exercise some restraint.
There is actually something wired into the psyche that causes people to see others in distress and not see the risk to themselves. Happens all the time.

Before I had kids, my answer would be different. But now I'm responsible for the next 12+ years until they become adults to make them socially responsible and competent. I would sacrifice my life for one of theirs, but in sacrificing it for anyone else's, I'd be sacrificing theirs, to a lesser degree.

it is really easy for me to say 'yes' of course i would....if i was ever faced with it.....i do not know. i am the most important person in the world for 3 young lives so would i compromise that? Do I have the guts to do it? Would courage overcome the fear??
I honestly do not know if it came down to it if i could.

I would if it was for one of my neices or nephews. I don't have kids but if I did I would sacrifice my life for them too. I also would do it if it had to do with protecting a child.
