Does sound like a yeast infection. She doesn't need to have started her period in order to have yeast infection going on. If she 's not wearing cotton panties and she's a little on the heavy side the heat could be doing a number on her, plus I'm sure her hormones are probably starting to change causing an imbalance. She probably is itching herself and not washing her hands then putting her hands near her bum hole causing the infection to spread to both spots. I would lay off the pep h and give her some sort of nystatin and just call your normal pediatrician who can either take care of it themselves or start to refer you out to gyn, but she is too young for gyn and I'm sure regular pediatrician can take care of it.

I would seriously take her to a GYN. She could have a bacterial or yeast infection. It might be a little embarassing for her, but gynocological health is very important for a young girl to learn. My mom taught me that if hot water and soap don't help the problem (in that area), then a doctor is the next step.

She might have a yeast infection however, I would not assume and give her anything until I take her to see a doctor.
You should get her a female doctor so she could feel more comfortable, just in general....

I'd take her to the gyno. It sounds like she has a yeast infection. Take her to the gyno before it turns into something worse

Definately take her to the gynecologist. Someone else asked a similair question a long time ago, and another person answered to it saying that if you sleep with your underwear off, in some clean sheets it could help a little bit.

Dear Mom,
Take your Daughter to the doctor. Why guess what is bothering
her. Please don't take chances. The problem may be a serious
one. You won't know for sure unless you have her seen by a
professional. It's her health YOU have control of. Do what is right.
