which processor is better? Pentium 4 m or celeron m?

ok, the celeron is the poor man's processor,, mainly office applications, STRICTLY NO for home entertainment, movies, music & multimedia

the pentium m has 2 mb l2 cache as opposed to 1 mb in the celeron m
plus, architecture too different & a much poorer processor than the pentium m

the pentium's too r obsolete ...
intel has stopped making them
no more pentium or pentium m's from intel

tho most pc manufacturers still maintain old stocks !

The Celeron is the worst processor known to man. Avoid it at all cost. If you are on a budget and need a cheap processor get an AMD Sempron.

To be more specific each company makes a high performance processor and a budget processor. Intel's high performance processor is the Pentium with the Celeron as their budget piece of garbage.

For AMD the high performance proc is the Athlon, with the Sempron as their budget processor. The Sempron however is still a solid processor if you're looking for something cheap.

i take advantage of an i5-2410M (GPU Intel 3000) with 8 GB DDR3 1333 in my 4330s HDD 320 GB 7200 rpm. It heats (GPU) and regularly malicious program with out warning, I bumped off the lid and place on a medium 2-fan, that's fairly solid. Now that i've got stumbled on a thank you to cool down ideal, i'm searching for a i7-2820QM regularly compliant (Soket: rPGA988B / BGA1023 (FC PGA988 sisoftware sandra)). that's why i'm back on all boards! greeting
