Mainstream music ****** sucks. I hate it. I hate those poseur bands like Green Day, Fall Out Boy. It's just all the same. Metal takes real talent but people just view it as loud noise. I absolutely can't stand closed-minded people who won't open their brains to the ultimate powerful sound that actually takes a shitload of awesome talent.
My favorite bands are:

I still love my music today as I did in school! Young people today think that this music today is heavy metal! They get mad when I tell them it's not! Honestly, I don't care for rock music today! After it died, I pretty much lost track of music today! I go to see my old school bands on tour and my step daughter thinks it's so lame! I've just seen def leppard and had a blast! I think back then was when rock musicians really showed talent! These band today are a little tiny bopper for my taste! Some of my favorite bands are:
Metallica ( old school)
Iron maiden

Motley crue

AC/DC
Kiss

I am a lover of all forms of music. Primarily music of the past. I dislike 99% of modern hip hop. So they talk about owning the most expensive car and having gold in their teeth. Who gives a sh*t? I love metal. I have been a metal fan for some time. I like Priest, Maiden, Pantera, Megadeth, Anthrax and of course Slayer. The modern acts that truely stand out for me would be Lamb of God and Meshuggah. All in all, being from Texas and missing Dimebag Darrell, I would say that Pantera is my all time favorite metal band. I have been listeining to Pantera since Vulgar Display of Power. Phillip Anslemo had some damn good pipes back in the day.

I still love metal. I host a metal radio show, and I'm amazed at how many good metal bands are coming out these days. Just because the music media ignores metal, doesn't mean that it isn't still vital.
