happens when there is a yeeow triangle instead of a folder by my inbox and prevents sending or recieving mail

That error is usually a Windows Update error. Go to google.com and put the error code in the search box. Shoould be plenty of sites. Also the pake might help,

Had a thought. Do you think your mailbox is full -- counting inbox, sent, drafts, trash, bulk? Better check out all these folders.
