Chances of false positives are slim to nothing nowadays.
I would count on it being positive at the clinic as well. If they give you a urine test, they are pretty much using the same thing you buy in the store.

I'm thinking if you are going to the Health Department, you are not there because you are pregnant. That just wouldn't make sense.
Go and get tested again, it's the only way you will know for sure.
No offense but, You can't get a test for your problem at the drug
store.

I just found that I was pregnant about 5 hours ago. I took 2 HPT's they both came back positive (really bright). They use the sanme kind if HPT as the one in the drug store. But anyways I'm going to the clinic sometime this coming week.

I took home test to, then went to the health department, they told me they were using the same type of test that you buy. So there is really no sense in going unless you just want cause your fixin to be a mommy!!! Congradulations

False positives are extremely rare in pregnancy tests. The only way it would be negative is if you have a miscarraige or had a chemical pregnancy.

no. i'm not sure a false positive is even really possible. I've heard there is no such thing as a false positive. if there is they are rare considering it goes by the hcg in your urine which comes about when you are pregnant. good luck.

you could take your temperature every morning and if it is higher than usual, you are most likely pregnant.
