ok is there anyone else who is just pissed off becuase there makeing remakes of johnny cash songs? - walk the line, ive been everywhere. is there anyone else who thinks they should stop doing this?

No one can sing a Johnny Cash song but Johnny Cash. I've heard some of those remakes of Walk The Line and the people just ruined it!

Yes, at least in the commericials, if someone who respected Johnny and put out a different take , to bring in new fans I would be Ok with that , but then again only if it was really good.
But right now He is still on the charts with new releases and there is atleast one more album to come, so He doesn't need their help for fans to remember-
On a differnet note I love, love , love the movie Walk The Line, totally awesome, and the fact that Joaquin Phoenix was able to spend so much time with Johnny before He past, just added to the realness of Joaquin performance.

I feel you about leaving well enough alone...
I get mad as hell whenever I see that Chase commercial playing "All You Need Is Love" for God's sake, it's a money institution!!
Anyway, yeah, same goes Johnny Cash...
Don't know why, but people always want to ruin the integrity of good music.

They did very good jobs remaking the songs for the movie but the remake for the jeans commercial is AWFUL.

No, but it p*sses me off that his songs are used in those cheezy commercials, the poor man has been reduced to peddling someones crappy jeans.

isnt he dead yet i could of swore i heard him singin the otha day on the radio n i dont like him anyhow but really let it go already just like biggie n tupac songs comin out aint they all 3 dead i mean really
