Take deep breaths before you come onto the stage. Convince yourself that no one in the audience is judging you. And even if the audience is judging you...so what? Let them be. Tell yourself that in the ocean of people watching you, you are going to touch at least a few hearts in that crowd. When you perform or deliver a speech, look straight at the audience and don't break that eye contact. Focus on one particular face who seems receptive to your performance.

Everyone who sings, acts or is in the public eye gets stage fright. I have been singing solos for over 20 something years and I still get stage fright.
It is important to realize first of all that we are all human and every human will make a mistake. Secondly, never look anyone in the eyes. Look above them to the back. And most importantly, the more you are on the stage the easier it gets.
Good luck.

The major stars like Bob Hope says the stage fright is always there.
A big country music comedy person Minnie Pearl tells the story of the time she was about to go on stage for the first time. An old stage veteran said; speaking of the audience,"Just love'm Honey, and they will love you right back." Best of luck to you.

Help someone else with their stage fright, it will calm you. And pray before, it had such a calming effect on me when I had the lead in my 8th grade play. Me and 2 others of my same religion got in a circle, held hands and prayed for about 5 minutes. It was so calming I totally forgot to be nervous.

I have extreme stage fright. But I have never gotten over it. It just helps to have what you are going to say well thought out. Just try to relaxe and you will be fine. If you have to make eye contact they look at everyones forehead.

Oh, man, I really can't tell you. I was in drama for two years in high school trying to conquer that exact thing and never did completely. It did help be to become less shy, but I still get nervous performing in front of crowds. Even a few plays didn't help too much. The only thing I can say is breathe. As simple as it sounds, it's important. Breathe deep.

truly the best way is to perform frequently. the more you get up there, the less it will wrack your nerves. same as anything, repeated exposure lessens the stress perception.
