I think that the Liberals need to tell their international counterparts to quit trying to help them because this could backfire really bad and get Bush some sympathy. A lot of people here might not like Bush but most normal Americans don't like to see their presidents being assassinated even if it is supposed to be fiction.

This might be off topic but it is related in the sense that we don't like it when the Brits try to mess with us; Remember when the English paper "the Guardian" launched Operation Clark County to help readers have a say in the American election by writing to undecided voters in the crucial state of Ohio.
Remember some of the reactions? One of my favorites:

Hey England, Scotland and Wales,
Mind your own business. We don't need weenie-spined Limeys meddling in our presidential election. If it wasn't for America, you'd all be speaking German. And if America would have had a president, then, of the likes of Kerry, you'd all be goose-stepping around Buckingham Palace. YOU ARE NOT WANTED!! Whether you want to support either party. BUTT OUT!!!
United States

Absolutely - horrible. Just like saying I am going to kill the president is a crime, this should be - but it is not the US doing it - it wouldn't happen. This is just horrendous - it really is a shame what this world is coming to with all these liberals who abuse their rights. UK has no right and should really be told off about this one. Yes it could - there are sick fanatics that see things and then act on them - provoke violence etc - all of the time. Serial killers watch serial killers and then imitate them and become ones themselves - this is sick and makes me totally sick. I could not believe it.

No one realizes that Clinton ignored all the things that fell on Bush in his term(s) - and everyone punishes him for it - not Clinton. What a shame. He may not be the most well spoken man but who could even think the govt was behind 9/11 or that any president of our nation that WE elect would harm our country. Need I remind the liberals that the men and women in Iraq CHOSE to fight for our country - there is no draft. Wake up people - wake up. Fact not fiction - just cause something has a website or is in print in the liberal media does not mean it is true. This movie is a sin/

Total double standard that there is no outrage over this. If someone made a movie about the killing of Jessie Jackson imagine the outrage. Poor taste to do a film about the kiling of any standing world leaders. If the subject matter was of real interest they could make up a fictional president and people would watch it. But instead it's just a treat for the Bush bashers.

Having lived through the JFK assassination, I wouldn't wish that on the country again - even with someone so deserving as Bush. If we're going to remove the s-o-b, let's do it legally and not with a gun.

As much as I am NOT a Bush fan, this movie is just TACKY, TACKY, TACKY. I am shocked that something in such poor taste would come out of Britian.
