yes, definitly and xbox rightt now is really cheap maybe you can can wait until christmas to get now to answer your question a PS3 has been told to be able to play MOST playstation 2, n 1 games not all, so you should wait until sony releases a list of compatible games for the PS3 if it plays the games you like then trade your PS2 for a Xbox also i'd suggest you get a NEW Xbox because most stores offer warrenty, and bundles for new Xbox's so incase of an accident your xbox would get covered, + if you decide not to listen to me and get a used xbox ask the clerk or the person selling it to you did that xbox had a previous problem, and can you bundle it...hOpEs ThAt AnSwErS yOuR pRoBlEm

Sell your PS2 for a PS3. That's the logical answer. If you plan to have a PS3 and you want to sell your PS2 for a different console is illogical. Switching consoles means you have to also buy games that console.
It seems that you want to seize an opportunity because you can. The one and only truth is you are blinded by your main goal of owning a PS3 due to the fact the price of a XBOX is cheap. Also a used console works just as good as a new one if sold via retail store (i.e. EB Games).

No, keep your Ps2 because they are stopping the making of original Xbox games and only making 360 games. So it would be better to keep the ps2 when they are still making games for it. Plus you have to keep it because God Of War 2 is coming out on it. Plus the Ps2 has a lot better game selection. I have all three systems (Ps2, Xbox and GC) and Ps2 is by far the one I play the most.

if you u want better graffics and a heavier system u take the xbox but if u want the funiest games ever created i would keep the ps2 two besides if u want to trade for xbox u have to pay xtra if i was u i wuold start saveing for the ps3 because it is better than the xbox 360 in everything to get money sell gamesthat u already beat

No, while you try to sell it to gamestop. using fact they purchase ur stuff affordable. using fact i offered Genji DOB on the ps3 for $60 and that they might pay me $8 for it. except u try to sell it to someplace else or somebody my wager is that it wont be adequate for a xbox 360.

Yeah, definitely do that. Get a used X-box, because it will most likely be a slightly older model, and then you can put on a mod chip that lets you download any games, even games from other systems, like Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64, Sega Genesis, Atari, etc. Just like mine. ; )
