watch Goodfellas. 10X's better than Scarface. Scarface is a way too hyped up for all of the hip hop types who cannot trudge their own path. I respect Pacino so much and I enjoy Scarface out of moderation, but its blown out of proportion. All the "gangsta" types only like it because they assume it's the "gangsta" thing to watch. One rapper starts a trend than next thing you know, you have a ton of clones out there claiming it to be an epic. De Niro, Liotta, and Pesci really own Goodfellas.

I like them both. They're both gangster movies but very different style. Goodfellas is based on a true story and is fairly serious, along the lines of the Godfather. Scarface is more campy. I would put it in the same category as Kill Bill in terms of being over the top. Between the two Goodfellas is my favorite.

Scarface is pretty bloody - esp the ending..middle...ok whole thing. I would watch that first - then Goodfellas. Goodfellas is really great too. You picked two really good movies.

Scarface is entertaining, but a little over-the-top. Goodfellas is true-to-life, better written, better dialog, better music. I'd go Henry, but Tony would do in a pinch.

If you haven't seen it before, go with Goodfellas. I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed.
