the user tried to open the link to view the report. Upon clicking, the user should be able to view the report in pdf.
I've tried on my end, using acrobat 4.0 and IE browser 6.0 with OS= WinXP SP2 and I was able to open and view the report successfully.
I'm pretty sure that the problem does not lies with the website but on user end but I just would like to find out more.

Hope someone can assist and provide me with a solution.

your question is not clear... where is the file located?
is this the error you are getting when openning file from a website? -- it could be because the path is wrong...
and % and other signs usually represnt some special character that doesn't appear on keabord, for example space... or copyrigthed symbol...

The chances are the file is not an Adobe Acrobat format file.

It is probably some other type of file that someone has put the .pdf extension on.

Acrobat looks for it's files to start with %pdf- at the beginning of the file content in order to decode it.

Not sure, but maybe you need to upgrade your acrobat viewer.
