a hamster, they are easy to manage and they clean themselves frequently,so they won't carry and odor. Also it loves to be held and socialize.

i met the cutest ferret the other day. If you don't clean any animals cage it will stink. That's just what poop smells like. But anyway. She played a lot like a dog and a cat mixed. very play-full, i want one now. But i already have a Guinea pig, a parrot(bad idea, very loud), and a turtle. and four dogs. and an outside cat.

Not very many animals have a stench if you clean them. I suggest a bunny. My bunny is about 6 years old now and very cuddly.

if you clean its cage out every day, and i mean EVERY DAY (new shavings, new water, disinfect the cage with lysol, the whole 9 yards) you can have a hamster or a mouse without a stench. if you are getting a mouse, do not get a grey one. they have wild in them, and they will bite if they feel like it. white ones are always smarter, and are always affectionate. its true, white ones have red eyes, where they're albino, but they're still very, very sweet.

even a rat-those can b fun but they are around $40

A FERRET!! they are really awsome. very playful. id get two so if you cant hang out with one they can play with each other. you can train them to use a litter box and they even have leashes for them now. they dont stink that much. you just have to give them a bath every month
